Judy Warner art pieces use fiber. They are extremely electrifying. They express nature and all of the colors with organic shapes. These pieces put together really well. I would love to have one hanging up on the wall. They make a statement of their own. They combine what the person thinks together beautifully with the artist feelings. She wanted to add the body and mind of daily living to her work after years of doing other things. She takes her time making these pieces to be as gorgeous as they are. She delicately stitches them and puts bold shapes on them. “I have always been in awe of the power of nature to wordlessly invoke emotion and lift humans out of their egos into a state of true connectedness with others. Similarly, I have been fascinated with the ability of color and texture to both express and invoke emotion. In my art, I use the interplay of color, texture and design to achieve similar goals, as well as to make social statements and inspire centered states of being.” The pieces show a sense of nature throughout. Each piece expresses how the artist sees nature and her point of view. The vibrant colors that she uses for the art quilts are found in nature. The colors are not the ordinary colors that man has made up but the calm blues, warm reds, dull and bright yellows, dark, pale and bright greens all express nature fully. The traditional quilts show that even traditional quilts can still be used as decoration in homes even today. Kokyu Nage warm colors against the cool colors feel as if you are warm and cold at the same time. The picture looks like harsh wind coming in from the east or west. The Maui Dreams pieces express that you can dream about the sea ocean sunset and island. The colors she uses for each piece are contradicting which draws your eye to the bright colors then see the rest of the piece. The puzzle miniature piece does look like a puzzle that still needs some help on where to place all the pieces. The In Flight piece of nature color blue calms the mind and thinks about freeing it from whatever the person is doing. The Dream Lives On piece shows that whatever happens dreams do not end they will continue on the journey that they started on. http://judywarner.com/

Henry Moore Gallery Showing
For another project, we were told to see sculptures showing outside. I decided to go to a Henry Moore gallery showing in the Denver Botanic Gardens, Colorado. When we finally got to Denver Botanic Gardens, I was excited and wanted to see every single piece. My family and I went on the weekend to see the sculptures. It was a relaxing day, just walking around and seeing art. The one I like the most was a sculpture on top of water. His sculptures feel as if they belong in nature. They were so intriguing, fantastic, enjoyable, riveting, captivating and enchanting. The sculpture on the water is called Hill Arches. The piece exhibits water stains from the rain but looks to me as if it slide out of the water. It shows space around it and through it. The lines and solids seem to melt together. That day was so fun that we are thinking about doing it again.

Audio Assemblage
This project was to make sound out of everyday things but not using music instruments. I figured that rattles would be the best thing to do. I bought all of the things to make the rattles. It awhile to make them and several mishaps came along for tin is extremely easy to mess up with. I decided to use different beans to make different sound. They all have different beans in them except for one that has every single bean type that I used in it. The hardest part of making the rattles was cutting for I would slip and cut of more than was necessary. The taping of the tin was hard because sometimes the tape would not stick. This project was a lot of fun in all.

Fiber
This project is based on fibers. We have to make a sculpture using materials that contained fibers. I chose to make something out of fabric. They were different kinds and shapes of fabric that was used. I did not know what to make so I started to play and round and tied the fabric together in knots. After that, it became a long piece that I did not know what to do with. I started out with a plan of what to do than my teacher came up and said that it would also work as hanging out a window. That gave me the idea to find a tree with a hole in it and have the fabric hanging out. Therefore, a friend and I looked around and found one but it had a hole at the bottom of the tree. So I thought that it would be cool to see it coming up out of the tree hole as if in Alice and Wonderland upside down.
Judy Warner art peices use fiber. They are extremely electrifying. They express nature and all of the colors with the organic shapes. These pieces are well made. I would love to have one hanging up on the wall. They make a statement of their own. They combine what the person thinks together beautifully with the artist feelings. http://judywarner.com/

Fan and BirdBath creation
It took me a while to figure out what to do. I started to play with the clay making different forms and ended up with the birdbath first. After that, I continued to play with the clay deciding to make a fan. The fan was hard to figure out what exact width to make it. I tried to make it even thinner but it would not stand up so I had to make it thick enough to stand on its own. I tried to make it resemble a fan. The rest of it was easy to make after the two end pieces were done.

Animation
In this project, I started out with a block of clay. I decided right away on doing the moon, for it inspires me on the artistic form. The moon is not a complete circle so it shows organic elements in the world where nothing is perfect. After making the moon out of clay, I started to play with the clay just to figure out what other form to do in this animation. Of what it starts out with then goes into a moon. I found out while trying to see what other form to make that there are not a lot of things that go into a circular form. After awhile I figured out to do a wizards hat for it seemed to be the best to configure into a moon. While making the wizards hat I thought of it as the wizard’s hat from Lord of the Rings movies. The wizard’s hat has fantastic form of organic. The form is not perfect but still has some geometric form. The rime of the hat represents a circular form. The in between forms were easy to make after having the two end pieces done cause I could imagine what forms they had to be in.

A Continuing Influence?
This project was to make a sculpture out of used books. The sculpture had to be something that was in the book not just something that comes from the world around you. We were told to only use the book and adhesive in this project nothing else. It took me awhile to figure out what to do. I had several different books to make something. I finally choose to make a laptop computer, which books can so resemble. It was hard to cut the papers of the book just right to fit inside. I then took off the binding on the book so that way it would be easier to see as a laptop. After cut the pages the right length I then put other pages on top that has no writing on them. This way the laptop does not look like a written on laptop. To make it look more like a laptop I put a keyboard and a screen that has a table on it. It took some time for the tape to stick on the other paper. I then choose a title for the sculpture taking something out of the book.

Critique of a sculputure
The sculpture uses balance, space and from really well. If you looked at it in one glance, the sculpture would look like a bright yellow high heel in the corner. If you keep looking at it you will noticed that the heel is missing. The form is several different triangles all put together. It has more open space than negative space. The way it balances seems that it will tip over even though it does not. At the end of the sculpture, the tip is off the floor really making the piece look, as it will tip over. The bright yellow color really emphasis the space. The space is just great that you would not notice that it does not belong to the space. The form reminds people about a shoe so well that it is hard to think up of other objects. The sculpture does need a little fixes here and there but then nothing is perfect. The sculpture was originally going to be red but they did not have enough tape so there is a little hint of red that makes you wonder what else is hidden from the person looking at it. It has a really great balance of space and form combine.

3D Cardboard Sculpture
This sculpture is a combination of different sculptures. Each person in the group incorporated an idea to put it together. It was hard to cut out the cardboard for this project it took a lot of strength. The design hangs over the Art Gallery in the Art building. The one who originally came up with the bridge looking part want something to be organic and intriguing. The intresting card broad sculpture we were not sure if it would actually be able to blance or may be to heavy. It ended up fine in the end. I was the one who segusted that we make a cool looking desgin under neath so that you do not see something plane. The whole peice is many different object that it repersent. A lot of thought and hard work went into this project that ended up to be fanastic. These Artist really show what a person can do with card board. The sculptures are organic and non oragnic. They are so cool that there are many things a person can do with things that are considered trash. http://weburbanist.com/2008/11/28/cardboard-art-and-sculptures/

Tamporary Art
This temporary art took a while to figure out if this is the one that I wanted to show. It was easy to do all I did was find a puddle and put my shoes into it then walked out. As a result this is what came out. I also had a partner in this so one of the foot prints are mine and the other is hers. We did different temporary art to finally come to this conclusion. It was fun to do.http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=gabriel+orozco&FORM=IGRE&qpvt=gabriel+orozco# Gabriel Orozco is really inventive in what he sees and decides to create. I like the work that he does for he is not in a specific art work. He likes doing different things not all the same.
3D Sculpture
It took me a while to get to this sculpture. I did different approaches just to finally like what I did. This one took a lot of trial and mistakes. I started doing a house shape then pulling or pushing the shape into a volume. After that I rotated it to different degrees just to get it looking cool. Then when I finally got the shape I wanted I started on decorating the outside to what is was made out of. it is mostly made of stone with a water feature and aluminum roofing. The ground scape is mostly river rooks.Cao Fei http://www.caofei.com/works/ expresses her feelings and those around her into her work. The town that she made in Second Life expresses the ancient Chinese culture mixed in with the more modern culture. I think that it is really great in what she does. Friday, September 3, 2010
Wire Sculpture
In this sculpture I looked at the basic form of the pose. The person was curled up in a ball with a the energy going around in a tight circle. This one was the best one I did and was proud of. I only used one wire to make the sculpture. Robert Rothbard http://www.theavanti.com/wire_sculpture.htm does art that uses one wire to make the form. He shows the energy of the car and where it is placed. This is such a great sculpture that express ingenuity.
Volume, plane, and line
The idea of this project was to make a volume, plane, and line that connected together. I first had to go through several different designs before I choose this one. I made but it did not exactly do what I had intended first. So I made another one and changed the design a little bit. Robyn Horn's http://robynhorn.com/index.php sculptures express the idea of volumes, planes, and lines. I like the sculptures that he made they show a certain feeling.
